1871: Hurricane killed 300 people in Labrador Canada

1886: About 1,000 buildings were destroyed in Vancouver

1912: The 1st Parachute jump was made from an Airplane by Albert Berry

1930: 22 people were killed by balls of ice in Siatista, Greece

1932: Great Britain and France signed a Peace treaty

1951: The U.N armed forces arrived in Pyongyang, Korea

1956: Britain gave up the Suez Canal to Egyptian control after 72 years

1960: Prince Norodom Sihanoek became the head of Cambodia

1986: President Reagan Criticized South Africa’s State of Emergency

1990: Nelson Mandela was welcomed in New York City

1991: A spectator was killed by lightening at the United States’ open Golf tournament

1992: Nigeria signed the convention on Biodiversity at the 1992 Earth Summit held in Rio
