MALE RHINOS AT AN INDIAN PARK KILLED A FEMALE RHINO FOR REFUSING TO MATE WITH THEM

 Two Rhinoceroses at the Jaldapara National Park in the state of West Bengal, India reportedly attacked and killed a female Rhinoceros for refusing to mate with any of them.

            According to reports, the female Rhino that lost her calf just days before the incident was attacked in a display of territorial dominance after it rejected forceful mating attempts from the bull Rhinos. The female rhino died after being pierced several times by the males with their huge horns and sharp teeth. All attempts to stop the attack by the ranger in the area were futile.

            Experts stated that the attack had more to do with the female searching for food in the males’ territory and this is usually common during summer when food is hard to come by.
