1923: Bulgarian Premier Stamboeliski and King Boris III were over thrown

1929: Dutch hostages were set free by Venezuelan rebel, Urbina

1933: President Zamora went into power in Spain

1940: Norway surrendered to Germany during World War II

1941: 1,500 people died after an explosion in Belgrade killed 1,500 people

1946: Bhumibol Adulyadej became the king of Thailand

1960: Typhoon in China left at least 1,600 people dead

1971: Abdul Zahir was appointed as the Premier of Afghanistan

2014: Russia tried to intimidate Finland to prevent them from joining NATO by giving a world war III threat
