3 people were killed and about 9
were left with serious injuries after a high speed passenger train collided
with a commodity train on the same track.
The incident happened at about 11
pm (local time) last night as the passenger train was travelling eastwards on the Namur-
Liege line in Eastern Belgium. According to reports, the collision was so violent that the
front carriage of the train was seriously damaged. Police and fire fighters in the area
were dispatched to the scene and victims of the accident were immediately
rushed to the hospital for proper medical care.
