ATTEMPTED COUP IN TURKEY LEAVES 90 PEOPLE DEAD, 1,154 INJURED AND OVER 700 DETAINED




            Following an attempted coup in Turkey on Friday, 15th of July 2016, by a faction called “Peace at Home Movement”. 90 people were killed, 1,154 people were wounded and over 700 people have been detained by authorities according to reports by the state-run news agency Anadolu.

            According to the Turkish President, Tayyip Erdogan, the coup was led by a faction whose members were mainly military personnel loyal to his arch enemy, Fethullah Gulen.
