MONOPOLY BECOMES AN OFFICIAL SPORT IN LAGOS


 
            Good news for lovers of the Game of Monopoly as it has now become an official Sport in Lagos State. This new development came into being as a result of the partnership between the Lagos State Sports Commission and Bestman Games.

            The Special Adviser on Sports to the Governor of Lagos State and Chairman of the Lagos Sports Commission, Mr Deji Tinubu said, “I want to officially announce that Monopoly is now a recognized Sport in Lagos State.” He also stated that the philosophy behind Monopoly is in line with Governor Ambode’s vision on Sports where he wants to create the opportunity for every child to be able to engage in it. The CEO of Bestman Games, Mrs Mini Akinkugbe also revealed that a tournament tagged, “City of Lagos U-17 Monopoly Championship” will hold on the 17th of September where no fewer than 2,000 students from 100 schools (Public and Private) will be given the opportunity to compete against one another with the winner receiving the prize of N1million in Educational Fund.
