SERENA WILLIAMS LOSES HOPE OF RETAINING HER GOLD MEDAL AT THE RIO OLYMPIC GAMES

Following the Williams sisters’ loss to Lucia Safarova and Barbora Strykova from Czech Republic at the Olympic Games opening of the women’s doubles in Rio on Sunday, 7th of August. 34-year old Tennis gold medallist at the London Olympic Games in 2012, Serena Williams lost her chance of retaining her title after losing to Elina Svitolina of Ukraine in the women’s singles yesterday, 9th of August.

It’s the first time Serena Williams who won the singles and doubles (with her sister) gold at the London Olympic Games will walk away from the competition without any medal. That’s one-down for team USA!
